How do I search for a character?

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how 笔顺 (Chinese Stroke Order) handles your information.

Information We Collect

Search Queries: When you search using English text, your query is sent to OpenAI's API to interpret your request and return relevant Chinese characters. These queries are processed in real-time and are not stored by us.

Voice Input: If you use voice search, your audio is recorded locally on your device and sent to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription. The transcribed text is then processed to extract Chinese characters. Audio data is not stored after processing.

Preferences: Your script preference (Simplified or Traditional) is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. This data never leaves your device.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, or location
We do not track your usage or behavior within the app
We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs
We do not create user accounts or profiles

Third-Party Services

OpenAI API: Text and voice search queries are processed using OpenAI's API (including Whisper for voice transcription). Please refer to OpenAI's Privacy Policy for information on how they handle data.

Data Security

All network communications use HTTPS encryption. Local preferences are stored securely using iOS standard practices.

Children's Privacy

Our app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
